Dr Brendan Lacey

Dr. Brendan Lacey is a Consultant General Paediatrician specialising in a range of infant, child and adolescent health presentations.

Some of his interests are: management of poor growth and  feeding difficulties, sleep concerns, asthma/eczema and allergy, constipation, ADHD and autism spectrum disorders as well as  adolescent medicine.

After completing his graduate medical degree at Deakin University, Brendan trained in general paediatrics at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He received his Fellowship through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and has gained broad experience working in many paediatric units across Melbourne including emergency, neonatal and developmental paediatrics.

Currently, Brendan does a combination of public work with Eastern Health and West Gippsland Healthcare Group as well as privately through St John Of God, Mitcham Private Hospital and Waverly Private Hospital. Outside of work Brendan is a father of two active boys – as his career as a marathon runner is long over, he now enjoys running after them.  He is an avid reader and believes that reading and storytelling are an integral part of bringing up happy kids.  Brendan also loves the great outdoors, playing sports and games with his family, and tinkering in the garden / building occasionally useful ‘stuff’.
